“Gloria Chien and Soovin Kim have accomplished a marvelous feat in northern Vermont …with great things in store for its future.”
-Strad Magazine
The Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival in Burlington, VT, was founded in 2009 by violinist Soovin Kim, who grew up playing in the Vermont Youth Orchestra and was embraced by the Burlington community. Gloria joined Soovin as Artistic Directors in 2017. Together, they curate a 9-day summer festival that aspires to inspire a life-long passion for chamber music. The festival offers more than 20 events including mainstage concerts, community recitals, dynamic lectures led by Resident Composer David Serkin Ludwig who also leads the Young Composers Seminar, and the Young Artists Ensemble.
